Control(ctrl) + Enter Keys to fill an entire range with formula:
Many times, we have to apply the same formula for a range of cells (see image below).
This tip can help you speed up your work.
Here’s how to do it the smartest way:
1. Select the entire range you wish to enter the formula.
2. Click on the formula bar and start typing the formula you want in all the cells in the active cell.
3. Finish by pressing Control(ctrl) + Enter instead of Enter only (keep pressing the Control Key when you hit Enter)
As you can see that all the highlighted cells/range have been filled with the result of the formula.
Note: This does not only apply to a range but also to all selected/highlighted cells in a spreadsheet.
